2 Leg Up/Down Switch

1. My table will not move at all

Possible Causes:

  • Power receptacle is not live
  • Table needs to be reset
  • Power adapter is defective
  • Switch is defective

Solutions:

1. Reset the table:

  • Unplug the power cord from the wall.
  • Unplug the leg motor cables and the power cord from the switch.
  • Wait 10 seconds.
  • Replug the leg motor cables and the power cord to the switch.
  • Replug the power cord to the wall (this must be done last).
  • Press and hold both the UP and DOWN buttons at the same time for 10 seconds then release both buttons.
  • Press and hold the DOWN button and lower the table to its lowest point.
  • Press the UP button and the table should now work.

2. If the table still does not work, try to replace the power adapter with one from another table, if available.

3. If the table still does not work, try to replace the switch with one from another table, if available.

4. If the table still does not work, contact Customer Service at 1-800-463-7731.

2. My table was working fine but, after moving it up and down a few times in a row, it stopped working

Possible Causes:

The table has an intermittency function that means it will automatically stop operating if the motors get too hot.

Solutions:

The table will be inoperable for 5-10 minutes but then should start working normally again.

3. When I press the UP button, the table moves up about 1" but then stops

Possible Causes:

This issue occurs when the anti-collision setting engages because the table feels some resistance or an impact.

Solutions:

  1. If the base is tested without a worksurface, it is likely that this error will occur as the anti-collision sensor needs a minimal amount of weight to function. Place a worksurface on the base and re-attempt to raise the table.
  2. Check for any obstructions or impediments that the table may be hitting.
  3. The weight capacity for this switch is 225lbs including the worksurface. If there is too much weight on the table, the anti-collision function will engage.
  4. Check that the glides are extended so that the table is level.
  5. On installation, one or both legs could be slightly crooked. Lift the left back corner of the tabletop so the leg lifts off the ground and settles in a fully upright position. Repeat with the right back corner.

4. When I press the UP button, one leg moves up faster than the other

Possible Causes:

  • The switch needs to be re-initialized
  • On shipping, the connectors in the motor could have become loose
  • If the strain relief has not been installed properly, the connectors in the motor could become loose with time

Solutions:

  1. Remove the tabletop if it has been installed and unplug the base.
  2. Look at the motor in each leg. Check that the motor cables are fully connected to the motor. Check that the white connector is properly inserted into the motor circuit board. Check as well that the four motor wires (orange, white, yellow, green) are loose and not pulling.
  3. Check that the strain relief is properly installed.
  4. Plug in the table and perform the reset procedure in Question 1 above, ensuring that the motor cables are removed from the switch.
  5. If the table still does not work, unplug the table and switch the locations of the motor cables in the switch. Plug in the table and perform the reset procedure in Question 1 above. If the same leg is still malfunctioning, the problem is inside the leg. If the other leg malfunctions, the problem is in the switch.
  6. If the table still does not work, contact Customer Service at 1-800-463-7731.

5. How do I use my RISE table?

Solutions:

 1. Reset the table:

  • Unplug the power cord from the wall.
  • Unplug the leg motor cables, the power cord and switch from the control box.
  • Wait 10 seconds.
  • Replug the leg motor cables, the power cord and the switch into the control box.
  • Re-plug the power cord into the wall (this must be done last). You should hear the control box click when it is plugged in to assure there is power.

If you see a red light on the control box, you may need to repeat this step 3 or 4 times. You will hear a click when the control box is plugged in which confirms the control box is working.

3. If you still do not hear a click, try to replace the control box with a spare control box if available. Repeat the same with a spare power cord and switch.

4. If no spare electronics are available or if you have isolated a hardware issue, contact Customer Service at 1-800-463-7731.

5. If all the electronics seem to be functioning but the table is not operating properly, unplug all legs from the control box. Re-plug one leg into the first port of the control box and repeat steps 1-3 above. The leg should function normally.

6. If one leg does not function correctly, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-463-7731.

2. My table is at its lowest position, but the digital display does not show the correct height

Possible Causes:

The control box may not be set with the correct initial settings.

Solutions:

  1. Press the DOWN button to move table to its lowest position.
  2. Press the S button (display shows S-).
  3. Press the DOWN button for 5 seconds until the display starts flashing.

  1. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the table to the desired height.
  2. Press the S button (display shows S-).
  3. Press one of the memory keys 1 2 3 4. The display will show S and the number of the pressed key (for example: S2).
  4. After that procedure a double “click” is heard and after 2 seconds the current table height is shown on the display. The current height is now saved in the memory position chosen in Step 3 above.
  5. To move to the saved position, press and hold the saved memory key (1 2 3 4) until the table reaches the saved height.

Watch the video below to see how to set a memory position and move your worksurface to a saved position:

4. How do I restrict the MAXIMUM height of the table?

Use this procedure if you have a permanent obstruction within the upper travel range of the table.
